How Long Before You Let Your Car Get Messy?

Jackie bought a new car a couple weeks ago and I couldn't help but notice her talking to Adam about how she doesn't allow food in her car.

I thought to myself:  "We'll see how long this lasts..."

In 2005, I bought my very first, brand new truck and I remember I wouldn't let so much as a cup of water in the cab.  That is, until a few months later.  After six months of weekly washes and banning all food and drink, I started to ease up on the "rules."  After that, it was only a matter of time before I was eating Cheetos by the fist.

You've been there, haven't you?  I wonder how long before Jackie is grinding animal crackers into her floor mats.
