Today, singles are often bigger sellers because of changes in technology, and, still.  Many people enjoy listening to an entire album, especially when there is a continuous theme.

When younger I sometimes fell prey to pretty packaging.  I’d get home, find the one hit I really liked in the middle of side A but often found the band’s worst efforts were included.  The hit spurred the sales but I felt gulled in some cases.
