Let's pretend for a second that I've never read the magazine, House Beautiful. I'm much too manly to flip the pages of that fine publication (*cough*). I probably only heard that they named this Idaho town the best place to buy antiques because it was the only thing to read at the dentist office. Let's go with that story.

if you find a good parking place, you could do a convenient antique shopping tour by foot

Irregardless of my failings as a man, House Beautiful has indeed named Pocatello as the best town in Idaho to find rare old stuff. I have to ask the question, what makes a town great for antiques? Does it have to bear a resemblance to Andy Griffith's hometown of Mayberry? Nope.

According to House Beautiful, you want to go to Pocatello because they have over a dozen antique stores, plus they're mainly located in the downtown area. So, if you find a good parking place, you could do a convenient antique shopping tour by foot.

Will I go buying antiques in Pocatello? Nope. I'll be too busy lifting weights and watching Chuck Norris movies. Manly stuff. (*ahem*)
