Highway 46 Near Gooding Closed Due To Fire [Update]

The Fir Grove fire burning since Sunday north of Gooding is causing more havoc.  Monday, fire officials closed Idaho Highway 46 after the fire jumped the road early Monday afternoon.This same are of the highway was closed by the same fire earlier according to the BLM.  Aircraft are being used to fight the fire.  BLM officials say they hope to have the highway open again soon.

Update: (7/29 at 7:45pm) Highway 46 has been reopened.
