Craters of the Moon is a very unique place to visit any time of year and is completely worth the modest admission price. But, there are several days in 2017 when you can go for the wonderful price of free.

Kudos to Thrillist for catching this, but the National Park Service announced the free park days for 2017. Save these days and you'll save some coin next year.

1. January 16 - Martin Luther King Day
2. February 20 - President's Day
3. April 15-16, April 22-23 - National Park weekends
4. August 25 - National Park Service birthday
5. September 30 - National Public Lands Day
6. November 11-12 - Veteran's Day weekend
