There is a historic supermoon over the Magic Valley tonight and I couldn't help but share a few pictures my family has taken of our awesome sky.

In case you've been living under a rock, this is the brightest supermoon since 1948 and we won't have another of this magnitude for decades.

If you're new to this supermoon phenomenon, here's the official Wikipedia definition of what I'm talking about.

A supermoon is the coincidence of a full moon or a new moon with the closest approach the Moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, resulting in the largest apparent size of the lunar disk as seen from Earth.
