It seems that I always miss out on the good stuff. I've learned that you can ride an inner tube down the ski jump runs at Park City, Utah. And, it looks like outrageous fun.

We're not far away from winter time when the ski jumps will be used for, well, ski jumping. But, until then, you can grab an inner tube and go down your choice of 3 hills. The small one is 131 feet long, the middle 191 feet and the big monster slope that is a terrifying (but wonderful) 295 feet down.

It's a good idea to check some of the rules and guidelines from the official website before you go. Here are a few things to know.

  • Age Requirements: 5+ on the K40 | 10+ on the K64 | 13+ on the K90.
  • All participants will be required to ride the K64 first before progressing to the K90
  • Helmets required and will be provided
  • No open-toe shoes or shoes without heels straps.
  • No handheld objects such as cameras, video cameras, phones, etc.
  • All participants must fit properly when seated in the inner tube with bottom reaching the seat base.

When you see the hills, you will want a helmet even if they didn't make you wear one.

The word is that the small hills will cost you $15 and the bigger ones $20.
