Hagerman Man Killed After Car Ends Up in Canal

GOODING COUNTY, Id ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) A Hagerman man is dead after his car crashed into a canal early this morning, south of Wendell.

According to Gooding County Sheriff Shaun Gough, 22 year old Luis Pineda Jimenez was traveling west on 3400 South. His car left the south side of the road and landed upside down in the canal.

It is not known what time the crash occurred or how long he was trapped under the car before help arrived. Police tell Idaho’s First News that they believe alcohol may be involved.
