HAGERMAN, Idaho (AP) — Students in Idaho's Magic Valley can now work on degrees from a Seattle-area Christian university while staying within a few miles of home.

The Twin Falls Times-News reports that the Hagerman Christian Center has partnered with Northwest University to provide online courses to Idaho students. They will also receive guidance for the center's Pastor Isaac Tellez.

Students pursuing online classes through the church program will also receive a discount. Tellez says students can be trained not just to become a minister but in whatever careers the college chooses to put online. Those who sign up will be required to check in with Tellez once a week and complete a six-month internship at a church of their choice. Three students are enrolled so far.
