Group Working towards Canyon Jump Near Hansen

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- Another jump of the Snake River Canyon is still in the works. Omega Point Productions dropped out of the main bid to jump the Snake River Canyon where Evel Knievel did. They plan to jump across the canyon to the east of the Hansen Bridge.

On Monday Scott Record and Scott Truax visited with Twin Falls County Commissioners on landing on the south side of the Canyon. Record said they would have minimal staff on the Twin Falls side to retrieve the rocket. They also plan to have camera crews there as well. The commissioners said if Record had less than 500 people on the Twin Falls County side they wouldn't need permission for a large assembly.

They plan to give Record a final answer after visiting with county lawyers. They also  recommended Record check with the Twin Falls Highway District, because he intends to close some roadways down.
