IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — State wildlife officials have confirmed that an unidentified eastern Idaho resident shot and killed an adult female grizzly bear earlier this month. The shooting remains under investigation by agents with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and few details are being released. State officials say two young grizzlies were orphaned in the shooting, which occurred near Island Park.It's the second fatal shooting of a grizzly bear in the Island Park area recently. The first fatal shooting took place on Aug. 23. That case also remains under investigation.
