Gov. Otter Appoints New Commissioner for Serve Idaho
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter has named a new commissioner for Serve Idaho, the Governor’s commission on service and volunteerism.
Our commissioners bring a wealth of knowledge and energy to the commission," says Renee Bade, program manager for Serve Idaho, "as well as first-hand knowledge of the benefits and rewards of service in our communities.
Boise resident Judith Bittick, who, according to the Idaho Department of Labor, is a former manager of the Lewis-Clark Service Corps AmeriCorps program, was appointed to the position. She currently volunteers with the Idaho Conservation League, Idaho Rivers United and the Arizona Archaeological Society.
“Our commissioners bring a wealth of knowledge and energy to the commission as well as first-hand knowledge of the benefits and rewards of service in our communities,” Renee Bade, program manager for Serve Idaho, said in a prepared statement.
Bittick said she is looking forward to promoting volunteerism and national service during her tenure.
