Good Things That Came From Twin Falls’ Flash Flood

Flooding around Twin Falls. Image courtesy of Laura Yergensen.

Yesterday was scary, crazy and in many ways unbelievable. Magic Valley residence that have lived here their entire lives have never seen flooding like we saw yesterday.

The rain made is difficult for a lot of people to work, get to work and keep water out of their homes. Twin Falls is not set up to handle rain like we saw yesterday.

While many frustrating and sad things occurred yesterday due to the rain, a lot of people made the best of it. We saw canoe’s traveling down residential streets, kayaks in parks, paddle boards and many kids swimming in puddles.

Other great things that came from the rain include: fire restrictions being lifted, water flows are up, and lawns look really green. What other good things came from the flash flood? Let us know in the comments below.
