Get ready to have all kinds of content to play on your PlayStation Vita, because the God of War and Sly Cooper Collections are coming your way.

A post by Sony Santa Monica Studios' Cory Barlog on the PlayStation Blog heralds in the coming of these two mighty collections.

While he spends most of his time talking about how awesome his new Vita 2000 is and how he just finished playing some Persona 4 Golden on it, he does announce that the God of War Collection will feature the first two God of War games. They've reworked the controls and made the whole thing a load-free experience, meaning the carnage will be as smooth as butter for you. The God of War Collection will sell for $29.99 when it's released for the Vita on May 6.

In the same vein, the Sly Cooper Collection will include Sly Cooper and the Thievus Racconus, Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, all optimized for the Vita. No word on pricing, but the game will be released on May 27 for the PS Vita.

So how about that? More excellent gaming fodder for the Vita is coming our way this spring!
