Glanbia Buys Eastern Idaho Cheese Plant

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- Glanbia Foods is taking over another cheese producing facility in eastern Idaho. The Magic Valley company announced it has bought Sartori Foods cheese plant in Blackfoot Idaho. Glanbia says the purchase will help them be the largest producer of American Style cheese.

President and CEO of Glanbia Foods Jeff Williams says the plant is the right size to implement new products that will be developed at its cheese innovation center currently being built in Twin Falls. Glanbia has been in the Magic Valley for 23 years and produces more than 880 million pounds of cheese a year.
