The Wellness Tree Clinic in Twin Falls would like to thank everyone who helped with the, "Give Kids a Smile" event that was held this Tuesday, February 23rd.

This event had a huge impact on our community. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention nearly one in four children aged 2 to 11 years old have untreated cavities in their baby teeth.

"Give Kids A Smile" filled every appointment they had available on Tuesday, and were happy to help families in need. 24 children were enrolled in the Emiliano Zapata Migrant Head Start program in Burley, and the North Side Head Start Program in Jerome. All thanks to a coalition of Magic Valley organizations that worked together at a “Give Kids A Smile Day”. The event also works to raise awareness of the epidemic of untreated dental disease occurring locally and nationally.

Big thanks to the South Central Idaho Dental Society and many local dentists that have been participating for years in the "Give Kids A Smile" program.
