Most sports have gender restrictions. Volleyball is meant for girls, baseball is meant for boys, softball is meant for girls etc. But what about football? The Magic Valley Youth Football League allows girls to play in every league except Gooding. According to the Times-News Goodings Recreational District's board of directors President Joleen Toone said, "I don't think girls should be in tackle football. I'm thinking and we don't even really have a reason, I'm just thinking injury-wise and concussions. What can happen to them down the road, lifetime, equipment fitting correctly? Girls are built different than boys." Should girls be banned from playing football? If we let girls play football should we let boys play volleyball?

Update - As of late yesterday Gooding reversed there decision and is now allowing girls to play on the youth football league.
