At this point, any new 'Ghostbusters' movie has been fancasted within an inch of its life. Any actor working today under the age of 40? They've been considered for the 'Ghostbusters' movie. Shoot, there's a chance you were considered to star in the 'Ghostbusters' movie. So, there's no point in going over yet another list of who should star in 'Ghostbusters 3' or whatever it is they're calling it these days. Unless, of course, the person who made that list is Bill Murray. In that case, *in rapt*.

Bill Murray was in Toronto because it was Bill Murray Day, but also because he had a movie ('St. Vincent') opening there. Because he was there and because everyone wants to talk to Bill Murray, he did some press. And, because he's Bill Murray he was asked about the current state of the 'Ghostbusters' reboot; namely that Paul Feig plans on an all-female cast. And, because he's Bill Murray, he, like the rest of us, thinks that's a pretty good idea.

It sounds great to me. It sounds as good an idea as any other! No, it’s a grand idea, I don’t know who they’re talking about, but it’s a good idea, I would watch it!

He would watch it! That's about as ringing an endorsement as you'll get from Bill Murray on a new 'Ghostbusters' movie.

When pressed on the potential cast, he threw out a list of four women:

Melissa (McCarthy) would be a spectacular Ghostbuster. And Kristen Wiig is so funny — God, she’s funny! I like this girl Linda Cardellini a lot. And Emma Stone is funny. There are some funny girls out there.

Now, because of Feig's connection to McCarthy and Wiig from his 'Bridesmaids' days, those two options are sort of no-brainers (doubly, McCarthy was Murray's co-star in the movie he is currently promoting), yet very solid no-brainers. If the 'Ghostbusters' movie eventually stars Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig, you'd be hard-pressed to complain. (For her part, McCarthy replied to Murray's comments by saying, "That’s taking on a legend, a legendary movie. But I would do anything with those ladies, anything at all.")

Emma Stone is another name that's been thrown about since the beginning of time (or, at least since back when 'Superbad' came out) when she was the sole female 'Ghostbusters' joining a younger, male group. Sony was, at one point, hot on getting her, Jonah Hill and others from the Apatow camp involved, but clearly that never materialized. (We've heard that Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg were offered the 'Ghostbusters' directing job multiple times and passed every single time.)

New to the fray is Linda Cardellini. She also has ties to Feig, working with him previously on 'Freaks & Geeks'. We're not sure if Murray is aware of this connection, but the two were reported to be dating back in 2008 before Cardellini clarified publicly, "We're friends and we might be doing a project together." That project never materialized, but maybe she was in talks for 'Ghostbusters 3' in the same way Emma Stone was?

Minus some diversity, it's a list of four smart, funny women that - in any combination - would be very good in a 'Ghostbusters' movie. Assuming we even need another 'Ghosbusters' movie.
