Get Out and Have Fun at 6 Events this Weekend in the Magic Valley

This week has been crazy, and with the amount of snow that has accumulated, most residents have spent extended time at home or been forced to work from home this week. While using the weekend to shovel and get rid of what is left is a good idea, odds are an escape from the house would be good. There are events taking place this weekend to help you escape your cabin fever from this past week and to have a little fun.

Thursday, January 18 Through Sunday, January 21 - Indoor RV Show

Want to get out of the house, stay warm, and kill a few hours? Head on over to the 15th Annual Magic Valley Indoor RV Show taking place at the CSI Expo Center Thursday through Sunday. Admission is free, and the doors will be open from 10 AM to 8 PM Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and from 10 AM to 5 PM on Sunday. There will be door prizes, cash machine drawings, and free popcorn. Thursday, January 18 - CSI Women's Basketball

The CSI Women's Basketball team will be back in action at home this Thursday, pending on weather. The team currently sits at 17-4 and won their most recent game. They will look to get on a winning streak on Thursday when they play Utah State University Eastern at 5 PM. For more on the team, make sure to click the link above. 

Thursday, January 18 and Saturday, January 20 - CSI Men's Basketball

The CSI Men's Basketball team will also be in action twice this weekend, with a game on Thursday night and one on Saturday afternoon. The men currently are 13-5 and on a 5-game winning streak. They will look to continue that streak and extend it on Thursday against Utah State University Eastern at 7 PM. Friday, January 19 and Saturday, January 20 - 'Beauty and the Beast Jr'

One of the best ways to get out of the house but to stay warm in the winter in Twin Falls is to attend a musical or a play at the Orpheum Theatre. This weekend 'Beauty and the Beast Junior' will be performed on Friday and Saturday. The show on Friday will be at 7 PM, with two shows on Saturday, with the first being at 2 PM and the second being at 7 PM. Tickets are on sale and start at $15. Saturday, January 20 - Paint Like Bob Ross

Have you ever wanted to learn how to paint like Bob Ross? Well, this weekend is your chance. If the roads are good enough and you can make it to Rupert, there will be a class at the Historic Wilson Theatre. The Paint Like Bob Ross class will be happening on Saturday from 1 PM to 4 PM and tickets are only $50 per person. All supplies will be included, so you don't have to bring any yourself. Saturday, January 20 - Just Say No - Anti-Drug Benefit Show

After a long and weird week with the weather, you might need to get out and forget your worries. How about attending a concert for a good cause? There is a Just Say No - Anti-Drug Benefit Show taking place this weekend at Big Papa's Grill in Twin Falls. The music begins at 8:30 PM and all the proceeds will go towards addiction awareness.
