KETCHUM, Idaho (KLIX) – Come Saturday, kids of all ages will be able to witness a bug’s life up close and personal at the Sawtooth Botanical Garden. On that day it will hold a Bug Zoo University, where you can learn about insects of all varieties and some creatures, like lizards, who like to eat them.

From bees to butterflies to tarantulas and more, many different creepy crawlies that make Idaho their home will be on display. Interested in keeping bees? There’ll even be information about this creature hobby.

The event is part of the Garden’s Bug Zoo program, which runs through May 12. It held a Bug Festival on April 30.

Bug Zoo U this Saturday starts at 11 a.m. and goes to 3 p.m.  A detailed schedule of activities, including cost and directions, is listed on the Garden’s website. It won’t tell you what happens at 2 p.m. that day, however. It lists that event as a “surprise.”
