TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- A gas leak has forced Intermountain Gas and the City of Twin Falls to evacuate several businesses and close streets. 

According to Josh Palmer, spokesperson for the city, the leak was reported at the intersection of Falls Avenue and Polk Street in Twin Falls, after crews digging in the area accidentally caused the leak.

Update (Jan. 27 @ 16:35) - Intermountain Gas has temporarily fixed the leak and Falls Ave is now open. News Radio 1310 KLIX has learned that a local contractor broke a 2 inch gas line while digging.
