If you asked any 'Game of Thrones' fans what they were most excited to see from HBO's forthcoming third season, set to premiere on March 31, the answers would vary across the board. Yet for all we're excited to see from the third season of HBO's George R.R. Martin adapted drama, 'Rome' star Ciaran Hinds take on pivotal character Mance Rayder will certainly be the talk of critics and fans alike. But is the actor none-too-thrilled about the series itself? Check out Ciaran Hinds' surprising comments about 'Game of Thrones' season 3 inside!

As with season 2 before it, 'Game of Thrones' season 3 will blow up the balloon even further with a wealth of new locations and characters, and a number of prolific actors to fill them. Foremost among the bunch is that of Irish actor Ciaran Hinds, portraying the oft-discussed Wildling "King Beyond the Wall" Mance Rayder. Irish Central recently caught up with the actor, who revealed that he was none-too-thrilled with the show's adult content at first glance:

I saw the first series and I found some of the sexuality and violence a little gratuitous and it annoyed me but then it calmed down a bit, but the storytelling and the juggling of the storylines are fantastic. It draws you in and takes you elsewhere.

Hinds wouldn't say much specifically about his role in the upcoming season, but did praise the work of fellow Irish actor Conleth Hill (Lord Varys), and joked that his 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' Mississippi accent occasionally snuck into his 'Game of Thrones' portrayal, given the back and forth of rehearsals.

Additionally, the extended new season features cast additions Ed Skrein, Jacob Anderson, Diana Rigg, Mackenzie Crook, Clive Russell, Nathalie Emannuel, Iwan Rheon, Kerry Ingram, Tara Fitzgerald, Paul Kaye, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Ellie Kendrick, Richard Dormer, Kristofer Hivju, Philip McGinley, Tobias Menzies, Anton Lesser and even Coldplay drummer Will Champion.
