Funeral Services Set for LDS President’s Wife
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Funeral services have been set for the wife of the president of the Mormon church.
The public is invited to honor Frances J. Monson on Thursday at noon at the Salt Lake Tabernacle. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints says the 85-year-old Frances Monson died Friday at a hospital in Salt Lake City surrounded by her family.
Her husband, Thomas S. Monson, has been church president since February 2008. During that time, Frances Monson kept a low profile, making only occasional appearances.
