Funds Set Up for Family of Child Killed in RV Fire
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) Funds have been set up for the family whose young girl died in an RV fire on Monday. According to the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office, 2-year-old Cassandra Luckey died after a fire engulfed an RV south of Twin Falls on Highway 93. The child had been napping in the RV when the mother went to the house next door for a few minutes before the fire started, according to the sheriff's office. Twin Falls County Coroner Gene Turley says the girl's body was recovered and taken to Boise for autopsy and identification is pending. The Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze. News Radio 1310 spoke to Cody Larson, with Tradesman Staffing in Twin Falls, who said the girl's father is one of his employees. Larson says he set up a GoFundMe page to help the family with funeral expenses and other costs to help the family out ahead of the holiday. According to the GoFundMe post, the family had moved to Idaho from Texas after a hurricane destroyed most of their belongings. Larson says the family also has a 4-year-old daughter and are taking donations for her Christmas; toys, food, and clothing can be dropped off at 870 Blue Lakes Blvd N Suite 4 at Tradesmen Staffing. Kimberly Nurseries has also set up a donation account to help the family at any Farmers Bank in the Magic Valley.
