The month of April has ended, and the calendar has turned to May. The month will have plenty happening with Mother's Day taking place next weekend, and Memorial Day ending the month, but before those weekends, you need to make it through the first weekend of the month. This weekend will be full of events to help get you out of the house and have fun in the Magic Valley. The early part of the weekend will see nice weather, with the back end being a little chillier. If you haven't been out to see the CSI baseball team yet this season, this weekend is your last chance, as they will play their final series at home of the season. The team will be playing against Utah State University Eastern on Thursday and Friday. There will be two games on Thursday at noon and 2 PM, and two games on Friday at 11 AM and 1 PM. It starts this Thursday, May 2, and will take place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as well. It is a unique experience to enjoy the beautiful waterfalls at night, with music and lights. It is something every resident or tourist of Twin Falls this time of year should experience. Tickets are $20 per car or $30 for larger vehicles. The Middlekauf Cars and Coffee Car Show is happening this Saturday at 1237 Blue Lakes Boulevard. There will be over 50 vendors and tons of food from multiple food trucks. The trucks will also provide their best bites to the public to vote on. Saturday will mark a day that many enjoy every year and that is May the Fourth, commonly known as Star Wars Day. The Twin Falls Public Library is looking to celebrate this weekend and will be showing the original trilogy on their big screen beginning at 10:30 AM. While you watch the movies, you and your children can build with Legos, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. If you want to see only one movie, 'A New Hope' begins at 10:30 AM, 'The Empire Strikes Back' will start at 1 PM, and 'Return of the Jedi' will begin at 3:30 PM. If you enjoy good Mexican food and helping a good cause, then this Sunday make sure to head to the Twin Falls Reformed Church for their 10th annual Carne Asada Fundraiser Dinner. Meals are $15 per person or $60 for a family. The meal will include carne Asada tacos, cheese enchiladas, beans, rice and chips & salsa. There will also be a silent auction of desserts. The dinner will be from 5 PM to 7:30 PM and the proceeds go towards helping middle schoolers and high schoolers go to church camp this summer.
