CHALLIS, Idaho (KTVB) -- Four men were killed on Friday in a plane crash near Challis, Idaho. A search and rescue team on Saturday recovered the remains of the victims.

They were identified as Andrew D. Tyson, 46, Russell T. "Rusty" Cheney, 34, and Aaron J. "A.J." Linnell, 39, from Teton County, Idaho and John H. Short, 70, from Park City, Utah. The Custer County Sheriff's Office says wreckage of a single-engine Cessna T210M, owned by Short, was discovered at the Loon Creek airstrip Friday afternoon.

Authorities say the plane crashed and then caught on fire. The fuselage of the plane was burned away, and all that remained was the tail section and the wings. The sheriff's office says Short was shuttling a team of three engineers from Creative Energies, a solar power provider out of Victor, Idaho, in and out of the Diamond-D ranch.

They were there to assess a possible job installation. The cause of the crash isn't known. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
