Former NFL Player Plans to Run for Idaho Office Again

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Democrat Jimmy Farris says he’ll run for elected office again in 2014, but he’s not sure which office. Farris tells The Spokesman-Review that he hasn’t decided whether he’ll again challenge Republican U.S. Rep. Raul Labrador.

In November he received 31 percent of the vote to Labrador’s 63 percent. Farris says he isn’t actively campaigning but he’s been meeting with people and laying the ground work for a potential campaign. As an NFL football player, Farris was known as a never-say-die competitor.
