JEROME, Id. ( KMVT/KSVT) A former secretary for A & G Irrigation in Jerome was sentenced this Monday morning. Judith Mary Kay Scantlin, 38, of Twin Falls pleaded guilty to two counts of grand theft for writing company checks to herself.

She was charged with 37 counts of grand theft, accused of stealing $121,500 over a 20 month period from January 2012 to August 2013. An earlier civil trial ordered Scantlin pay back the amount she was accused of stealing.

Before a judge in a Jerome County courtroom, Scantlin was told to pay $1,281 in fines and fees and also will spend at least 2 years in the state penitentiary -- as part of a concurrent sentence for the two felony counts according to court documents -- and faces an indeterminate sentence of 12 more years.
