POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — The former Blackfoot High School girls soccer coach accused of having sexual relations with one of her players has appeared in court for a preliminary hearing.

Alisha Yeates, who coached the girls soccer team in 2013, is facing seven counts of lewd conduct.

The alleged victim was the only witness called to testify at Tuesday's hearing. The girl, now 16, said Yeates had been her soccer coach for several years. She told the court that she had sexual contact with Yeates at a sister's home and at a hotel in Chubbuck.

She said the sexual relationship went on from September 2011 to May 2013 but couldn't give exact dates.

Yeates' attorney questioned the time frame, which he said was too long.

Yeates is to appear in court Sept. 17.
