TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)-Officials with the Sawtooth National Forest are asking motorist not to get stuck. Forest officials say roads are becoming muddy with seasonal snow melt and they want motorist to use caution. The Forest Service says driving on muddy roads or behind road closed gates can cause erosion, reduces water quality and makes roads hazardous for the next user.

The Forest Service says many campgrounds are still closed and not available for use until May or later. The public is asked not to use them because there are no garbage pickup and water or bathroom facilities available. For a list of trails and roads that are open go to www.fs.usda.gov/Sawtooth
