Flu Shots Available Now In Magic Valley
Flu shots are available now in the Magic Valley. The South Central Public Health District wants you to know that October is the start of the flu season and the shots have been available since early September.
This year there are no new flu strains so the same shot is being given this year that was administered last year. The District has about 2500 doses available which is less than last year but plenty sufficient for the demand. Also, more retail outlets are administering the shot this year which should reduce the demand on the health district. The health district suggests anyone over the age of six should get the shot. To find the public health district’s schedule for administering the shots you can go to phd5.idaho.gov. or contact many of the local pharmacies that will be administering it this year.
