Fish and Game Plans to Stock Area Fisheries this Week

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – If you haven’t caught a fish yet this season, this week may be your lucky break.

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game plans to stock several regional fisheries with catchable trout between May 23 and 27.

Head to the Little Wood Reservoir, where 1,995 trout will be stocked; or the Big Wood River, where 950 trout will be released. Other fisheries and the number of fish to be stocked include Dollar Lake (95); Filer Ponds (345); Lava Lake (684); Little Wood River (225); and Penny Lake (408).

Additional waters will be stocked next week, May 30-June 3, including Anderson Ranch Reservoir, Featherville Dredge Pond, Oster Pond No. 1 and Riley Creek.

Fish and Game’s stocking schedule is tentative and depends on water conditions.
