That's not Charlie Murphy, that's Agent Locke, the lead character in 'Halo: Nightfall' who will co-star with Master Chief in Halo 5: Guardians.

We have gotten our first look at Mike Colter starring as Agent Locke, the protagonist in the upcoming Ridley Scott-produced digital series, 'Halo: Nightfall', thanks to Variety. Agent Locke is the mysterious Spartan we have seen in 343 Industries' cryptic Halo 5: Guardians teaser and in its promotional artwork. Based on his narrations in the E3 2014 teaser, Colter's voice sounds a lot like Keith David's portrayal of the Arbiter character in Halo 2 and 3. Then again, that may have been a stand-in voice actor.

Colter is known for his roles in 'Zero Dark Thirty' and 'The Good Wife'. Now, Colter plays Agent Locke, who is a secret agent of the Office of Naval Intelligence. 'Halo: Nightfall' will tell much of Locke's background, building up to his role in Halo 5: Guardians, which will launch sometime in 2015.

'Halo: Nightfall' is being directed by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, of 'Battlestar Galactica' fame, and it will be scripted by Paul Scheuring, who has written episodes of 'Prison Break.' We expect Nightfall to be released for digital viewing by Xbox Live subscribers sometime around the release date of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which launches on Nov. 11 for Xbox One. It is likely that we will have an actual release date announced, hopefully with a full trailer, during Xbox's Nightfall panel at San Diego Comic-Con on July 24.
