Weather is going to be sketchy and dangerous this weekend in Idaho.

The U.S. National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch alert for parts Idaho. A fire weather watch sounds like a scary phenomenon you hear about in movies. What it actually implies is the added possibility of wildfires due to heat, wind, and lightning from thunder storms.

The watch is in effect starting Friday evening through Saturday night in the BLM areas of Northern Boise, Treasure Valley, Owyhee Mountains, Western Twin Falls, and the Southern Highlands.
