Filer Man Arrested on Rape Charges

Filer, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Filer resident Lawrence Moffitt, 29 was arraigned on a rape charge Wednesday following a report that was made on May 31.

Filer and Twin Falls police investigated the incident at both the victim’s home and the home of the suspect. The incident allegedly occurred at a home in Filer. According to information filed with the court, Moffitt was on felony probation at the time.

He had been found guilty of Burglary in May 2012. He was sentenced to 3 years determinate and 5 years indeterminate.  His next court appearance has not been scheduled according to online court information.
