Filer, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV )Hundreds gathered in Filer Wednesday demanding action. A city police officer used deadly force on Saturday after responding to a call of dogs on the loose, and it was all caught on camera. Since the story broke, the video has gone viral and people across the country are outraged by how the situation was handled.

People have been taking to Facebook to voice their opinion on the situation, but Wednesday hundreds showed up in filer to make sure their voices are being heard. The dash cam was rolling as officer Tarek Hassani responded to a call of dogs at large.

Within minutes Hassani shot and killed a black lab named Hooch, who he claims was being aggressive. Since the news of the shooting broke, people here and across the nation have responded, demanding he lose his job. Mark Deaton is one of them and created a Facebook page called 'Officer Hassani Get Out of Filer' that has gained over 8,000 followers since Sunday night.

From the page he was able to rally people from the gem state to show their support for hooch's owner, Rick Clubb, Hundreds of supporters showed up, calling for Officer Hassani's job, but there are people on the other side who think he was justified in his actions. The City of Filer has since contacted an outside agency to investigate how the situation was handled. Yesterday Filer Mayor Richard Dunn said the officer has since been put on administrative leave.
