On August 3, 2014, at approximately 2:15 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash at 1800 East 3400 South in Gooding County, Idaho.

Christopher T. Weaver, 43, of Twin Falls, ID., was driving north on 1800 East in a 2014 Peterbilt tractor pulling a 2012 Walker trailer. David H. Fuentes, 21, of Wendell, ID., was driving east on 3400 South in a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup. Passengers in Fuentes' vehicle were Jose D. Hernandez, 18, and Rosa Fuentes-Guevara, 54, both of Wendell, ID. Weaver failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of 1800 East and 3400 South, and struck Fuentes' vehicle.

Weaver was transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID.

David Fuentes and Hernandez were transported by ground ambulance to North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding, ID.

Fuentes-Guevara was transported by air ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls, ID., where she succumbed to her injuries.

It appears that no seatbelts were worn at the time of the crash. The crash investigation is continuing.
