The Idaho Department of Fish and Game can help.

The department has a Fishing Planner that lets anglers see the many family-friendly places to go fishing.

Fish and Game explains:

Waters with the Family Fishing designation have been identified as fishing spots close to home that are geared toward family fishing and the high likelihood of catching fish. The fishing regulations are uniform on Family Fishing Waters and are easy to understand, even if you don’t fish often.

Remember to make sure before you go, however, that every angler in your group age 14 and older has a valid fishing license.

Have fun, be safe and give the fish a sporting chance.
