DESCRIPTION:With the holiday season just around the  corner\, the Twin Falls Police Fraternal Order of Police\, Lodge #22 is  once again preparing for its annual    “Cops and Kids” charity event.  Cops and Kids was developed to make the  holidays brighter for disadvantaged families in the Twin Falls area.    This year’s event will take place Saturday\, December 11th\, when officers  and their young guests will once again head off to K-mart for a morning  of shopping\, eating\, gift wrapping\, and fun. DESCRIPTION:A fun event for kids at the College of Southern Idaho’s Ropes Challenge Course from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday\, Sept. 15 will collect important items for the CSI Refugee Center.Fairy and Superhero Day will feature face and rock painting\, wand making\, and ropes course events tailored to kids ages 3 to 10\, including the cat walk\, zip line\, rock wall climbing\, and other events. Kids are encouraged to come dressed in fairy or superhero costumes and must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is free of charge. Participants are encouraged to bring items that can be donated to the CSI Refugee Center and other local shelters. Items may include personal toiletry items\, laundry or other cleaning products\, or gently used winter wear. The CSI Ropes Challenge Course is located on Frontier Field Road on the east side of the CSI campus between the Expo Center and Skip Walker Baseball Field. Fighters\, survivors\, family members\, loved ones\, men and women - you are all welcome to come out and support breast cancer awareness!    Meet at the Visitor Center Park under the Perrine Bridge (West side)    Enjoy the booths which include:     Kiwi-Loco... first two hundred get free frozen yogurt   Bellapierre Idaho... see their fabulous line of mineral cosmetics   Saba Products... get free samples of their new weight loss system   Our radio station vehicle and crew!    At 1:30pm\, everyone will form a line\, holding their donated bras high as we walk across the west side foot path across the Perrine Bridge\, turn around and come back!    Everyone is encouraged to bring a buck for the charity and a bra for the fun spectacle!    100% of the money raised will be donated to The Mustard Tree Wellness Clinic to provide mammograms for women in our area who have no insurance.

Read and Feed is a collaborative Christmas project sponsored by students enrolled in the CSI to ISU-Twin Falls Elementary Education program along with Barnes and Noble Bookstore in Twin. The college students are seeking donations of new or gently used books to present to 1st - 3rd graders at Lincoln Elementary School in Twin. The books\, along with healthy snacks\, will be presented in backpacks donated by the colleges on December 18.    If you would like to donate to this great cause\, you can drop books off at the Idaho State University office located in the Evergreen Building at CSI.  Or you can purchase a new book at the cash register at Barnes and Noble.
