Ned Evett to appear at CSI

Ned Evett, one of the world’s foremost fretless guitarists, will perform at the College of Southern Idaho coffee shop located next to the CSI Bookstore at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28. The performance is free and open to the public. In 1990, after playing in countless cover bands, Evett smashed his Stratocaster onstage. Later, he recovered the unbroken neck, removed the frets, and developed what would become groundbreaking style of fretless guitar playing. Four of his last five solo records also feature him singing songs he has written.Evett has appeared worldwide with George Thorogood, Jonny Lang, Joe Satriani, John Fogerty, Allman Brothers, Robert Cray, Eric Johnson, John Scofield, Adrian Belew, Smashing Pumpkins, Jerry Douglas, Doug Martsch, Mickey and the Motor Cars, Gary US Bonds, Thomas Dolby, Jake Shimabukuro, and others.
