THE MAGIC VALLEY ARTS COUNCIL HOSTS BREAKFAST
 
Twin Falls, Idaho -  The Magic Valley Arts Council invites you to “Arts and the Economy” presented by Stuart Weiser, Deputy Director of the Idaho Commission on the Arts, from 7:45 to 9 am with a complimentary continental breakfast on Thursday, January 29 in the Sligar Auditorium at the Twin Falls Center for the Arts, 195 River Vista Place. The presentation will focus on the role the arts play in economic development and the economic impact of the arts in the US today. RSVP to MVAC at 734-ARTS (2787).
 
A musician by training, Weiser serves as chief of staff and chief fiscal officer for ICA. He worked in symphony orchestra management for more than 20 years, including executive director positions at the Eugene Symphony (OR), Harrisburg Symphony (PA), Winston-Salem Symphony (NC), and South Carolina Philharmonic (SC).  He has also worked on the staff of the Aspen Music Festival in Colorado and was general manager of the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center in Hanover, PA before coming to Idaho.  Weiser holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fredonia State College in New York and a Master of Science degree in Leadership and Business Ethics from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA.  He has served on the boards of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Idaho chapter, the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO), and the League of American Orchestras (formerly the American Symphony Orchestra League).
