Medical Assisting Program

Spaces are still left in the College of Southern Idaho’s Medical Assistant Program. The deadline for application is Aug. 1 and the semester begins Aug. 27

Medical Assistants are allied health professionals who assist physicians with patient care. They perform clinical and administrative functions in physicians’ offices, clinics, and immediate care centers. Upon completion of the ten-month program, students may sit for the national certification exam to become a Certified Medical Assistant. Medical Assisting has been one of the growing health care fields in recent years and demand is expected to remain strong.
