What started has an experiment for the Hagerman resident has become a full-time hobby as Joyce Roberts - The Gourd Lady masterfully creates one-of-a-kind works of art from natural materials. A number of techniques such as carving, filigree and wood burning are used in this creative process, as well as leather dye in various methods, waxes, burnished metals, and polishes.
Southern Idaho’s distinct birthmarks and icons of beautiful rivers, valleys, and mountains are a blessing and inspiration to Silas Thompson. The distinctly imputed beauty in creation points this young artist constantly to God for continued inspiration. This Declo resident learned to give glory to God in painting through his two mentors and teachers Caleb Meyer and Robert Moore.
After taking an oil painting class from her mentor and friend, artist Robert Moore, Corrine Slusser fell in love with the creative process and hasn’t stopped since. The Rupert resident is inspired daily by God’s creations that surrounds her.  She loves bright colors and interesting shapes. Her paintings are known by their bold palette knife and brush textures, compelling shapes and vibrant chords of color.
