Additional Information

The College of Southern Idaho’s Community Education Center is offering the non-credit children’s enrichment course Fusing Fun, taught by Robin Dober of Hands On Studio in Historic Downtown Twin Falls, scheduled Thursdays, August 6–9, at Hands On from 9-11 am.
Fusing Fun for Kids, specially created for children in fifth through eighth grade, is a hands-on way for children to mix science and art to create projects. Students will learn the basic principles and science behind glass fusing, how to cut glass safely and assemble simple projects, and what happens to the glass in the kiln. They will experiment with different types of glass and make several glass pieces to take home at the end of the week. Participants are asked to wear close-toed shoes to the class. The cost to register for this four-day class is $20, and there is a $40 supply fee payable to the instructor. Students may register at http://communityed.csi.edu or by calling (208) 732-6442. Class size is limited so early registration is suggested.
