The College of Southern Idaho Film Club will show the ‘Best of i48,’ the best entries from the Idaho 48-hour Film Festival, at a free, 90-minute outdoor showing at 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3.

Club spokesman Jeremy Bridges says the competition accepted entries from film teams around the state, each of which had just 48 hours to create their entry. Each entry could be from three to six minutes long. The entry from the CSI club, Sh’Tika, took the prize for Best Sound. Team members included Ben Hicks, Danny Loughmiller, Mykelle Walten, Ben Berria, Anthony Stevens, and Jeremy Bridges.

Other films to be shown that evening will include: Infection from the Blind Filmmakers; The Trouble With Man from Broken Film Works; Untucked from Red House; First Hit from Ghost Ship Productions; Slice of Life (Best Film winner for 2012) from Blame Lana!; Edward Biervase: The Story of a Gem State Wine Baron from Heimat; Mr. Whiskers’ Big Adventure from Puppies vs. Stairs; and Do Not Pass Go from Aperture. Other films are expected to be included.

The films will be projected on a portable screen near the CSI tower. Viewers should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. In the event of bad weather, the event will be moved inside the Student Union building.
