Career & College Expo
The eleventh annual Southern Idaho Career and College Expo, sponsored by the College of Southern Idaho, the Times News, and the Idaho Department of Labor, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 20 in the CSI Gym.
Dozens of businesses, government agencies, and higher education will be represented. Career and seasonal job seekers are urged to spend time with the career fair participants. In some cases, the businesses will be taking applications and in others, they will be advising on what qualifications they look for when they do hire. Job seekers are advised to bring copies of their resume.
A partial list of the businesses expected at the event includes: Sun Valley Resort, Jerome Cheese, Glanbia, Idaho Milk Products, Dot Foods, Sears, C3, Cactus Petes, KMVT, St. Luke’s, Town Square Media, Syringa Wireless, Anderson Merchandisers, Hilex Poly, Big Sky, Chobani, Rob Green Auto, U.S. Army, Advanced Animal Diagnostics, Wright Physical Therapy, Intelligent Employment Solutions, Idaho Department of Labor, and The Times News.
Educators and career trainers and counselors will also be available from the College of Southern Idaho, Boise State University, and the University of Idaho. CSI programs represented at the event will include Education, Math, Trade and Industry, Adult Basic Education, Information Technology, the Career Counseling Center, and Sage Truck Driving School.
The event is free and open to everyone.
