About 50 students in the College of Southern Idaho’s Composition, Modern Jazz, and Ballroom dance classes will present ‘An Evening of Dance’ at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 3 in the CSI Fine Arts Auditorium.
“Our students will demonstrate their creative genius and some original works,” said instructor Cindy Jones. “You will be entertained, stretched, and definitely changed by this performance.”
In fact, audience members will see dance performance art in the Fine Arts lobby before they even get to the auditorium. Jones said the students have worked hard to create this show, which is part of their final grade and a venue for showcasing their talent.
Jones will be available after the show to answer questions about the CSI Dance program, which also includes Ballet, Tap, and Dance Appreciation. Registration for the fall semester is currently under way. Admission to the performance is free of charge. Donations to the Dance department’s scholarship program are welcome and appreciated.
