BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A bull that escaped a pasture by breaking through a fence spent five days on the run before being found by Eagle police officers and tranquilized.

The Idaho Statesman reports Eagle police officers found the bull Monday night in a swampy area by the Boise River. The bull escaped from the pasture Thursday morning.

Officers teamed with cowhands on horseback to search for the missing bull, which was able to escape capture for days. The bull was taken to a new pasture in nearby Owyhee County.
