TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – The last in a four-part training series involving local emergency responders will take place Wednesday.

It’s a full-scale exercise that will allow participants to apply what they’ve learned in the three previous training events held over the past few months. The scenario for this exercise, held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Henningsen Cold Storage, will be a three-vehicle accident involving a rail car and an unknown chemical with multiple injuries and fatalities, according to information provided by the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office.

The training series, according to the news release, is part of the Exercise/Training Program under the Twin Falls County Department of Emergency Services, and is part of the compliancy measures when utilizing 2015 SHSP grant funds from FEMA.

Members from local law enforcement, dispatch, fire, hospital, paramedics, coroner, behavioral health, public health, the private sector and city and county officials will be participating.
