Mythic Entertainment, the studio behind games like Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes and the mobile version of Dungeon Keeper, has been shut down by EA.

An article on Kotaku features a statement from EA that says the following:

We are closing the EA Mythic location in Fairfax, Virginia, as we concentrate mobile development in our other studio locations. We are working with all impacted employees to provide assistance in finding new opportunities, either within EA or with other companies via an upcoming job fair.

The subsidiary of Electronic Arts has been around since 1995 and developed the hit massively multiplayer online role-playing game Dark Age of Camelot in 2001. Since then, they've developed Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes, Ultima Forever: Quest for the Avatar and last year's Dungeon Keeper reboot on mobile devices, which was much-maligned due to its focus on micro-transactions.

We at Arcade Sushi wish the best for all employees that were impacted by the shutting down of the studio.
